I commonly forget that it is spring break due to the dismal fact that spring breaks don’t happen for adults. Just kids. So when I’m just trying to exchange a shirt at the mall only to encounter a mob of children and their tired parents, you can find me utterly confused until the heavens part and I realize…ew…it’s spring break.
Being kid-less in my life forces me to forget this crazy season in the 12 months. But I still enjoy doing all the things before the insanity of the triple digit heat hits us all and incapacitates us for the next 3 (read: 6) months. With that in mind, I’ve put together a quick list of 5 things that you should do before you get instant sunburns just by walking outside.
Spring Break must-do's
Ostrich Festival
Yes, you read that right. The ostrich festival, which took a short hiatus due to the VID, is back and in full force. Complete with ostrich races that would make a vegan faint, the ostrich festival is a great opportunity for you and your friends or family to join in and watch the festivities. Music, food, carnival rides, and much more. Experience the flock of fun the Ostrich Festival brings to the Valley.

Renaissance Faire
For a few weeks a year, the renaissance festival lands in the east Valley in Arizona. Games, shows, music, jousting, and so. many. turkey legs.
Bring the hubs and run over to the fair with a huge HUZZAH!

Hike before you melt
For one of the hottest places in the USA during the summer, Phoenix actually is one of the best hiking destinations (in my personal opinion). When people ask what there is to do out here, I always respond with, “go on a hike.” Check out one of my favorite trails below:
While first Friday might seem like a glorified art walk, it is so much more. It is a great opportunity for people to enjoy a concentration of beautiful art, food, and culture all in downtown Phoenix. Every first Friday of the month is accompanied by sheer beauty.
Aloha Festival
Take your mind off to the tropics with a gathering of tradition and culture with the Aloha Festival. Come and enjoy the Aloha spirit with stunning performances and cultural enrichment.
